CodeWalla’s At Casual Connect This July
Its Casual Connect time. One of the most anticipated conferences for casual game professionals in the world. It should be a blast – That includes the parties. Firstly - CodeWalla recently moved to Seattle and conference is happening on home turf. Secondly, we’re sponsors at the event (click here for the layout details and specific location of our booth). This is a first for us! Thirdly, there are some really great sessions and panels lined up. Heres a few we are especially looking forward to as iPhone developers:
- Day 1: The Recession Gamers: Identifying Key Trends in a Recession-Proof and Rapidly Evolving Demographic
This year has seen a lot of ebbs and flows in economies worldwide and specifially in the U.S. and yet gaming has been remarkably growing. Michael Rosenberg, COO of Future Ads (he recently launched Playsushi.com) will talk about the shifting behavior of the casual gamer in the ongoing recession economy. We look forward to this one! - Day 2: iPhone Crashes the Portable Gaming Party
As developers of iphone games, we’re really interested in this talk by Bart DECREM (Tapulous), Gui KARYO (Majesco), Dean TAKAHASHI (GamesBeat VentureBeat) and Shervin PISHEVAR (SGN). Having these industry veterans talk about the evolution of this latest portable gaming ecosystem is a complete must-attend. - Day 2: iSee the Future and it’s iPhone
Another event of our interest, touted as the “all things iphone” panel of insights and tips on getting the most out of iPhone development plans. The discussion will be lead by Leonard QUAM VP of Product Development Sonic Boom. - Day 3: Casual 2.0: Emerging Trends in Casual Gaming
Tim CHANG (Norwest Venture Partners) will talk about whats hot and whats not in this popular and profitable casual gaming industry.
Ok now on to the task of preparing for the exhibition.
